The Shettles Strategy concentrates on the characteristics of sperm when attempting to conceive. Male sperm tends to be much faster than female sperm, however they're very frail.
When attempting to conceive a boy, it's best to try when ovulation is close. The optimal time is at least 24 hours before ovulation or 12 hours after ovulation.
Because of the frail nature of the male sperm, and the harsh environment of the cervix, it's a good thing when women orgasm during intercourse. This is because the body produces substances after intercourse that tends to neutralise the cervix, making it more alkaline which is a less dour environment for the sperm.
Deep penetration is primal to conceiving a boy. Remember, male sperm are fast swimmers however they're awfully frail so the smallest amount of area the sperm wishes to cover to get to the egg, the better. The doggy style position is best because it allows for deep penetration.
