First, You Can definitely to cook something up for your family other than the candies that the kids will really like to have. You will most certainly love the idea of having to deal less with stress because your kids will be full and they will not have the capability to fill up their sweet teeth because your cooking is still better than candy.
Secondly, when it comes to the trick or treat kids you should probably just buy candies that you think will work better for you. Always keep in mind that they are kids so they never care less as to what you give them as long as you give them candies. Here you should probably ask your neighbors for some suggestions as to what kinds of candies will work best for such occasions.
Third, always remember that you should keep track of the candy. Always make sure that you have extra in storage and that you do not serve all of the candies to the kids, they will just get the amount that they want to make sure that you have your candy under your own control. Always keep that in mind.
