Are You Suited To Work From Home?

At some point in your life, maybe very recently, you may have been in contact with someone in a network marketing or direct sales company offering you the opportunity of a lifetime.

Great proposition to be sure. Is it real? Perhaps. Is it possible? Probably with some hard work, persistence and a little good luck. But another question you might want to consider is just who really is this person behind the opportunity?

The fact is he or she isn't much different than you or I, perhaps a Little Bit eccentric but the good news is it's a pretty common trait with most entrepreneurs. What's really interesting are the backgrounds of these people: former executives, construction workers, salespeople, homemakers, laborers, accountants, nurses and the list goes on.

As for the gazillions of dollars made from home businesses that you read on the 'net such as "My name is Ruby Tuesday, I used to live in a hole but I climbed my Way Out and now I make….". There are a lot of them out there and the stories are powerful and without taking anything way from these honourable people, everyone likes a good story, so we listen.

When you hear these rags to riches tales, the message is clear: if they can do it so can you. But you should know one thing and that is in order to achieve these amazing results you Must Have a fire in your belly so great that it emanates and walks into a room before you do.

The Jeffrey Combs, Ellie Drake's, Jeff Mills and Jack Canfield's of this world are special people. They should be honoured for their commitment in not only helping others but also in striving to be even more than they are.

So where does this leave you? Well, we all know there is only one Jeffrey Combs, one Ellie Drake, one Jeff Mills and one Jack Canfield, and of course...

There is only one you.

And you are as unique as every individual out there who is looking for a way out but just doesn't know how to get there. The advantage of network marketing or direct sales is that it allows "the average Joe" to do just that, find a way out.
As long as you are willing to invest the time and effort in your chosen venture you should do well, the problem for most is they give up too soon and that's a shame. While most of us may not achieve millionaire status You Can certainly reach whatever financial goals you set and still be very successful.

So before you spend your hard earned dollars jumping into something that sounds pretty cool make sure you ask yourself a fundamental question – once you start will you follow through? If the answer is yes, then go for it and don't give up.

Everyone who works from home has their own reasons for doing it. For this author it allows the one thing I thought wasn't possible in my previous life: more freedom!

Now if you'll excuse me, I must get my daughter ready for the walk to school.Roger Gurung is a full time home-based entrepreneur with 15 years of corporate sales experience. He has travelled extensively around the world, particularly in Europe, where he worked as a journalist when he was based in London.
