How does the most famous woman in the world hide in plain sight? The beautiful young widow of the President of the United States thought she was free of the White House, but circumstances have forced her back into the role of First Lady. Not for long, however, because she’s made up her mind to escape — if only for a few days — so she can live the life of an ordinary person. All she needs is the perfect disguise . . . and she’s just found it. An entire nation is searching for her, but the First Lady is in the last place anybody would think to look: in the company of a man, an infuriatingly secretive and quietly seductive stranger whose charm, good looks, and sensuous appeal are awakening the forgotten woman within the dignitary. And with two adorable little orphaned girls in need of a family along for the ride, they’re heading out across the heartland chasing their own American Dream — on a wild journey of love, adventure, and glorious rebirth. First Lady: A star-spangled, richly emotional story of self-discovery, celebrity, love, and family.

But now that the Lord has seen fit to call her home, someone needs to take care of her man. . . That's why Charlene has planned to hang around in spirit–to make sure T.K. ends up with the right woman. First in line is Marlene, the mother of T.K.'s illegitimate daughter. Then there's Monique Johnson, the unapologetic First Lady of Plastic Surgery and Implants. Next is Savannah Dickens, the church's attractive new choir soloist. And last but not least is Charlene's good friend Sister Lisa Mae Johnson, widow of Pastor Lee Jones. No one else knows about the letters, but rest assured, they will shake up a whole lot of people. Charlene may soon be gone, but her presence will be felt. . . Ever Since The 1st Apparition Of Our Woman Happened In Medjugorje In Year 1981, This Small Village Became One Of The Most Significant Destinations For Travellers In The Entire World.

New Year's Eve in Medjugorje
Come and enter into the New Year in prayer, with Jesus and Mary!
Night of prayer : 31.12. At 10 pm

Adoration Holy Mass

An enormous screen will be put up in the New Hall, and a tent will be built for every one of those who may not find place in the church, so that everybody may keep dry and warm.

MEDJUGORJE

Ever since the first apparition of Our Woman took place in Medjugorje in year 1981, this little village became one of the most significant destinations for pilgrims in the whole world. Without reference to their age, nationality, color, education, and even spiritual believes, people from the whole world are coming to Medjugorje to find peace and sense of life. A call from Medjugorje is almost always an individual call. Millions have left this village with a smile on their face, and strength to return to their every day routine. There are pilgrims in Medjugorje throughout the entire year, but there are a few dates that are very special and always bring increased number of people to the hamlet chosen by Our Woman. December 31. Is one of those dates.

WHY NEW YEAR'S EVE IN MEDJUGORJE?

Youngsters are folk on the move, people with fresh ideas, strength and wish to contribute. Pretty shortly they become bored with fake things, commercialized events and people who want to take advantage of them.

When a person comes to Medjugorje he feels special and accepted. He feels accepted and protected. He feels young, regardless of how old he is. coming to Medjugorje is like coming back home, like returning to the cheerful infancy (regardless of if you never had it...). It's a coming to your ma. Our Woman has been inviting us (for nearly thirty years now) to take her hand, to let her help us. It's a time of choices, a time to decide for God. You have Medjugorje hotel for accommodation and others good pansions, don't worry!

WHO IS INVITED?

In Medjugorje Our Woman addresses her messages to her dear kids. She never related : "Dear Catholics", or "Dear American citizens" or anything like that...She always says : "Dear children..." Each homo sapien is Her child, and a call from Medjugorje is always an individual call. Every individual has been invited for so many times by Our Woman.

It is always a challenge, especially for young people, to try some new things, something that they never attempted before. This is a different way of spending the common event. Often it takes courage to do something fresh , and it's usually the young that dare to make a change.

A mother is calling her kids.

EVERYONE IS INVITED! : )

Programme

Night of prayer : 31.12. :

At 700 pm there's a melodramatic play in front of the Church of St James given by young boys and girls from the Cenacolo Community (community of previous cokeheads). The area around the church becomes Betlehem for a few hours and You Can see those significant moments in Mary's and Joseph's lives, including the night when Jesus was born.

Prayer starts at 10 pm in the church of St. James. First there's a Devotion of the Most Sanctified Sacrament of the Altar followed by the central event of the programme, the Holy Mass. About midnight it's the moment when the bread and vine are turned into the body and blood of Jesus. The moment when the miracle happens. In those moments fireworks display in our hearts! That's how we shall enter into a new year.

(A huge screen will be put up in the New Hall, and a tent will be built for every one of those who may not find place in the church, so that everybody may keep dry and warm)

The parish of Medjugorje has been organizing the New Year's prayer programme for a few years and number of people who want to attend it is skyrocketing every year. Whoever comes once, comes back again for sure, writes tagza.com.

Almost the Richest City: Bristol in the Middle Ages

Almost the Richest City: Bristol in the Middle Ages

$55

Almost the richest city of all in the country with a harbour for a thousand ships may well be an exaggerated description of Bristol by the writer Gesta Stephani but it sums up the twelfth-century view of the city as second to London in status with an important international port, producing wealth that directly influenced the art and architecture of the city throughout the Middle Ages. Bristol, according to Sir Nikolaus Pevsner 'shortly before 1300suddenly jumped onto the front rank of English and indeed European architecture', with the early eastern arm of the abbey church being 'superior to anything else built in England and indeed Europe at the same time'. The abbey church alone would have been sufficient reason for holding a conference in Bristol, but St Mary Redcliffe and the other parish churches, together with many other aspects of the city's medieval art and archaeology, provided justification for arranging a conference in the city in July 1996. The articles in this volume were delivered as lectures during that conference. These studies explore the international trade of Bristol and its documentary and archaeological evidence, and offer a radical new interpretation for its early development. Architectural studies provide fresh insight into the links between the Elder Lady Chapel of the abbey and Wells Cathedral, a re-evaluation of the eastern arm of the abbey, setting it into a regional context and revising its international importance and prodigy status, and a new study of St Mary Redcliffe, which assesses the contribution of the Canynges family and clarifies the reconstruction of the church in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. Other important articles examine the 'Harrowing of Hell' relief, mesericords and the Lady Chapel glass in the cathedral, the monumental effigies of Bristol and the early sixteeth-century paintings in St Mark's hospital. Of additional interest is the first modern appraisal of the Roman mosaic from Newton St Loe, in the care of
