The Adventures of Pinocchio (1996) [VHS] $0.95 Apparently aimed at very small children and the simple-minded, adults may decide that the best aspect of this kiddie flick is the clamshell box with its dual image “Magic Action Art.” Though strong technically, the blend of digital effects, animation, mattes, and miniatures is eventually too much of a hodgepodge. The plot is a confusing jumble of classic fairy-tale elements and jarring contemporar… |

The Connection between Spanish Translator Studies and Vietnamese Internationalization
By the end of the last century, Japanese scientists begin to imitate Western models by deliberately selected translations with the aim to transform Japanese culture by challenging the country’s local traditions, particularly the regional ones. A flood of translations of modernist literature and Western literary theories influenced significantly the cultural boom of the 1970s. Turning around from German, to give an example, into Japanese, has been crucial in the internationalization of Japan’s culture. In point of fact, we should be aware, worldwide processes in academia do not immediately involve everything and everyone around them. Logically, this has led to the German to English Translation of some significant Japanese writers.
Following these processes, this does not lead to scientific unification, but it for sure makes Westernization a less painful matter. No wonder why two professors, one teaching in Korea and the other in France, and both of them preparing students in Korean and French film studies, have been able to understand the dissimilarity between the universal and domestic making their students find proof on the dependency between Korean and French Translation disciplines in universal circumstances. The Korean cultural discourse in the pre-war period is afflicted by obvious decline, and the critical terminology used is simple and lacking theoretical complexity.
Any attempt to involve the West as a basis of motivation is equivalent to internationalization, which is a dangerous tendency. After a period of changes, various Vietnamese scholars apply Western theoretical ideology in order to finish their research. They want to become the cultural elite of the new era, trying to embark on arguments on literary theory with some of their Spanish colleagues to refresh Vietnamese cultural dialogue. This has led to some Vietnamese critical publications being selected for a Spanish Translation, which will facilitate the disclosure of the Vietnamese research to European critical scholarship. Eventually, most of the arguments that arise concern not only ideological pomposity but also an innate Vietnamese cultural tradition.
