Mobile Phone Purchases are Growing and Coreware is Key by Steve Alexander
Experts are predicting that more consumers will connect to the Internet via mobiles than desktop PCs within five years. One of the most frequent uses of consumer mobiles will be shopping. Specialist technology companies such as Coreware are providing the means for an ever-growing percentage of UK shoppers to make purchases online and via their phone.
According to a 2011 survey by consumer research specialist Intersperience, 8 percent of adults in the UK are making retail purchases via their mobile phones and 21 percent plan to shop via mobile in future. The growing prevalence of smartphones is behind these statistics. The widespread adoption of sophisticated phones is boosting what is known as "m-commerce", shopping using mobile phones.
Web, mobile and application development is at the heart of the future of the UK high street. And, with high street shops from Marks and Spencer to Best Buy electronics developing their commerce offering for mobile phones, it's an exciting one.
