The Best Weight Loss Option Is NOT To Diet!!
Just about everyone in the western world at sometime or other are looking to find the best weight loss options to help them lose that extra dress size or that flabby beer belly. What is wrong with society today? We really do make it hard for ourselves with over eating and drinking on fast foods and alcohol and then go berserk on diets and exercise. I'm amazed our bodies survive with this up and down regime that we put them through.
I know you have heard it all before but really why don't we just eat a straight forward healthy diet and regularly exercise then there would be no need to starve ourselves while going overboard with an over the top rigorous exercise routine that we cannot keep up with. No wonder people give up and go back to fast food and sitting in front of the tv or computer. It is a vicious cycle and once on it, it is hard to get off.
I think because of all the diets that we have been brainwashed about we think that normal healthy eating will be like starving ourselves but that is not the case at all. The best weight loss option really is just eating healthy and in moderation. You Can still eat great foods without starving yourself. It should not be an effort. And if you walk for 30 minutes a day then you have had enough exercise. This could be walking your dog or parking the car further away than usual when going shopping and so on. It doesn't have to mean spending money and going to the gym. If you do it this way it doesn't feel like an exercise program.
This will even work for people who are obese. Obviously it will take a while for the weight to come off but in the end when it does you will be in a routine that just seems normal and you will keep the weight off. Where as if you go on some special diet and major exercise program you will eventually come off it and then go back to your old ways, get fat and start all over again. It tires me just to think about it! I know it is hard especially the older we get but if you keep on top of it you will be much healthier and happier for it.
There are weight loss programs out there that do work very well but some such as weight watchers worry me as you use a point score routine. Now this does work there is no doubt about that but it still allows you to eat junk if you wish so long as you don't go over your points for the day. For example: you can have a burger and fries and depending on how many points that is for the day you can't have anything else as you will go over your limit. This is not healthy. You must eat regularly throughout the day to stay healthy. Not everyone will do it this way but the opportunity is there.
Others like Jenny Craig work too and it promotes healthier eating but again you are not learning to organize your own eating habits as you buy their meals. So the best weight loss option really is to take charge of your kitchen yourself and eat smaller healthier meals, drink lots of water, limit sugary drinks and exercise everyday. This could be walking, bike riding, gardening and so on. Make it as a normal part of your day and you will see and feel the benefits.
