Mt. Fuji

Itsukushima Shrine

Its first establishments was erected in the 6th century, making it among the oldest shrines in the country. Miyajima, as it is more popularly known, has been declared a National Treasure by the Japanese government as well as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. It is a Shinto shrine located on the Itsukushima island. It is truly majestic primarily because it was built right over the bay, making it look like it is floating over the water.

Hot springs

Japan has been blessed by many hot springs, perhaps because the country is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire. Many tourists both local and foreign frequent these springs to bathe and relax their tired bodies and minds. Some of the more popular of these springs include: Kirishima, Shirahama, Toyako, Shibu, Kusatsu, Nikko, Hanamaki, Kinosaki, and Noboribetsu just to name a few. Cherry blossom festivals

If you want to visit one of these festivals, it is best to go from the months of March to May.
