What You Need For Japan Internship Programs
There are some programs for internships in Japan that foreigners are eligible for. You might want to submit an application yourself considering that the country is one of the best places to learn the best international work standards. Before you do submit applications though, there are a few things you need to have on hand first.
Special Visa
One type of visa that not everyone is familiar with is the type used for working holidays. This is a top requirement that you absolutely Must Have to qualify. You will only be able to obtain it if you are a citizen of countries like Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Canada, Ireland and the U.K. to name a few. It is with these countries that Japan has agreements with. You also have to fall within the 18 to 30 years old age range.
As you might already know, applying for any visa will entail complying with a number of document requirements. A special visa for an internship program will require an applicant to submit a resume, plan of activities upon reaching Japan, reasons for wanting to go and proof of funds.
Language Proficiency
Obviously, as an intern, you will be communicating on a daily basis with local co-workers and customers. Language proficiency is therefore a clear requirement. For low level positions, you may need no more than a one year language study experience.
Some services that help connect individuals to intern opportunities conduct assessments of language abilities. If you do choose to undergo this phase what follows after assessment is categorization. You may be recommended for a more intensive language course or you may move on to the next step of application.

Correct Schedule
You Can’t choose to apply at any time of the year if you hope to get accepted as an intern. The summer resorts in Japan usually have peak seasons from July to September so applications are processed starting the first week of May. If you want to work in a winter resort instead, you’d have to be available to apply and start work by December. For hotels in the city, applications are processed every month except for January to February.
What you really have to be clear about is where it is that you would like to become an intern in. Winter destinations are top favorites because free time also means free use of the slopes. Many resorts also provide free meals and lodging.
These three requirements should be your top priorities if you want to get into winter or summer internship in Japan. After complying with these major requirements, you will, no doubt, have an easier time meeting all other requirements. If you want to have an even easier time, you might want to pay for third party services.
