Lighter than Air Robots $129 An aerial robot is a system capable of sustained flight with no direct human control and able to perform a specific task. A lighter than air robot is an aerial robot that relies on the static lift to balance its own weight. It can also be defined as a lighter than air unmanned aerial vehicle or an unmanned airship with sufficient autonomy. Lighter than air systems are particularly appealing since the energy to keep them airborne is small. They are increasingly considered for various tasks such as monitoring, surveillance, advertising, freight carrier, transportation. This book familiarizes readers with a hierarchical decoupled planning and control strategy that has been proven efficient through research. It is made up of a hierarchy of modules with well defined functions operating at a variety of rates, linked together from top to bottom. The outer loop, closed periodically, consists of a discrete search that produces a set of waypoints leading to the goal while avoiding obstacles and weighed regions. The second level smoothes this set so that the generated paths are feasible given the vehicle's velocity and accelerations limits. The third level generates flyable, timed trajectories and the last one is the tracking controller that attempts to minimize the error between the robot measured trajectory and the reference trajectory. This hierarchy is reflected in the structure and content of the book. Topics treated are: Modelling, Flight Planning, Trajectory Design and Control. Finally, some actual projects are described in the appendix. Kindle vs Nook, The Battle Has Been Won
If you are Looking for an e-reader, you found it? So here it is: Kindle vs Nook? I’ll tell you which one I prefer. Here are some obvious comparison points. I truly love Kindle way more. That is my personal experience. There are more reasons to love the kindle than not. I can not make this decision for you. But Kindles future does look better. The 11 good points:
-The Size: Kindle is actually 40% thinner than Nook, and 1 inch taller.
-Weight: Kindle is generally lighter than the Nook. About 3oz lighter than the original. 7oz lighter than the color version; 1oz heavier than Nook Touch.
-Battery: Nook beats Kindle for battery life in some cases. Kindle will last 4 weeks as the old Nook lasts 2 weeks. Now Nook Touch will lasts 8 weeks.
-Screen: although the Kindle 3 has a better contrast it is equal to new Nook Touch of 2011. Glare does not exist on both readers, except on the Nook Color, which uses an LCD monitor like an ipad.
-Navigation: This is the negative for Kindle: it uses real buttons and a toggle for navigation instead of touch screen, personal preference. Nook is touch screen at different sizes depending on the model.
-Memory: Kindle rules. It is important to have enough memory so You Can take your virtual library with you. Kindles internal memory is twice larger compared to the original Nook, and the Nook Touch. Then again Kindle 3 can not be expanded, but Nooks are expandable, I just don’t like giving out extra money.
-Free books: kindle has more free books, but Nook has them too. Nook supports the public library books epuB. Kindle supports free .mobi books that are abundant online, Kindle Books can be found at 11,000 public libraries.
-Yes! Kindle has 3G free real Internet! Awesome. To bad that Nook Touch and Color only come with WiFi 
-Rating: Kindle: 4.5,
Nook: 3.7 to 4.3.
-Price: Kindle is cheaper, with a big book selection. And eBooks are cheaper on Amazon.
-Kindle is smart, and makes it really easy for authors to publish their books on the Kindle, making the Kindle selection incredibly diverse, offering very low priced but high quality independent books.
This is all pointless when you get the new Kindle tablet for a mere $199.00 that can do everything an ipad can do, all I can say is get it now so you don’t have to stand in line.
You make the choice. Nook isn't bad, but I think they will have to do something miraculous to beat Kindle. The Ipad is actually better than Kindle with its ibook browser.
