Fiction Fantasy Books: Deeper Meanings, And Are In Some Way Spiritual
Do you like books? How about fiction fantasy books? How about cross-genre historical fiction fantasy books. Is there such a thing?
Lord Of The Rings although a fantasy book is all about reality. I think the best fiction fantasy books are the ones that do not just show us what is wrong with reality, but how we can get our reality right, by realizing that, in truth, there is nothing wrong with it in the first place, all we have to do is focus on the moment to see the paradise that surrounds us at all times.
Creator, by Michael Hills, is a fiction fantasy book as is Perfume by Suskind. These books are similar in the way that they begin, following the life of a truly gifted abomination.
Both main characters have special almost magical powers, and both stories take place in actual historical scenarios, mixed with mystery, fantasy and murder.
Both these stories delve deeper into the spiritual, deeper meanings, and are told in the framework of fantasy, but speaking about hard reality.
But Creator goes beyond Perfume to add another element, which is myth. As a myth Creator is very entertaining.
Why is it a myth? It has many layers, all having potentially different meanings, all equal important or unimportant, depending on how you see it. It has a top layer, a liner story line, and many layers beneath that, all of which depends on the level of understanding the reader has to interpret them.
You could read Creator when you are young, and see a meaning in it. So what if you read it again many years later? Would you see a different meaning in it, depending on your newly gained experience? Yes.
For me the great thing is that the whole story ultimately revolves around one word. Creators word is not love. It is a word that has enough power to destroy us all. At the same time, if we are able to take this word out of our speech, minds, and vocabulary, humanity would find true salvation. I won’t give the word away. Sorry, just read the book.
Creator transcends genres. It creates a category of its own. If I was to put Creator into a catagory, I would call it consciousness literature. Genre in CL is unimportant. Reaching a new level of consciousness is what is important here.
This is done almost subconsciously, which is a powerful way to internalize the message. Indeed, I think Creator has the ability to expand your consciousness. If you are looking for a good read go to best fantasy books.
