Consistently Delicious Food at Juicy Lucy's Steakhouse Restaurant With the Best Glenwood Springs Crab
After dining at Juicy Lucy’s Steakhouse restaurant for what seems like the hundredth time, I have finally decided to write my opinions for what is now the only place I eat in Glenwood.
My job necessitates a drive between Grand Junction and Denver weekly. I stop at customers along the way – especially in the Roaring Fork Valley. Most mornings I leave Grand Junction very early and go up valley to Aspen, bouncing from client to client until I get to Glenwood Springs – generally around lunch time.

I have always gone to big, nationwide chain restaurants because they are always fairly consistent. That’s a smart choice in most areas, and after meals at a few of Glenwood’s restaurants I stuck by that maxim. I like new experiences as much as anybody, but I was pretty disappointed. Eventually I decided to ask a few Glenwood Springs citizens what local restaurants were popular. Not surprisingly, I got loads of diverse opinions but the common thread was Juicy Lucy’s Steakhouse.
The local denizens invariably praised Juicy Lucy’s, and frankly, after finding the place I was impressed immediately. By immediately I mean I was delighted even in the parking lot. Juicy Lucy’s is at the hub of the trendy Glenwood Springs downtown scene and only a short walk from the massive Glenwood Hot Springs pool. It is walking distance from all kinds of cool shops and remarkable architecture. Juicy Lucy’s itself is located in a building that was constructed during the town’s heyday as a spa destination, adding to the ambiance in this historic town. Once inside, I was impressed at how the place accommodated me and my guest. The inviting restaurant was a bustle of activity even at lunch, but the staff was friendly and attentive, and we were seated quickly.
Actually, I have been there more times than I can count and I have never had to wait long at all – even on the few times I hit the place for supper on the way back to Grand Junction. Once at a table, the food has never disappointed. I have sampled everything from their extensive appetizer menu to their wonderful steaks and have not once been disappointed. Juicy Lucy’s has a long wine list – from delicious, inexpensive domestics to more expensive but immaculate imports.
They have remodeled the bar area, and the place is bigger and even better. Despite dozens of visits, I still stop at Juicy Lucy’s Steakhouse restaurant whenever I am in Glenwood Springs.
