Rebel Rousers [VHS] $9.98 When film historians wax romantically about the New Hollywood glory days of the late ’60s and early ’70s, they conveniently forget garbage such as this. This biker soap opera was filmed two years before Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper changed American cinema with Easy Rider (it wasn’t released until 1970, however), and one look at Rebel Rousers makes you appreciate how far the two hippie filmmakers … |

Canon Rebel T2i
DSLR Camera technology There is no doubt that DSLR Camera technology has reached a new plateau. It is only the die hards and perhaps a few super detail zealous professional photographers who still hold on to film cameras. At what MP rate will they be happy? I remember only a few years ago it was thought that even at 6MP DSLRs will start competing with SLR's. Two to six MP's is standard kit in mobile phones these days. Everyone is a photographer! Of course the quality of the ultimate output is lacking in parallel to an SLR but for the casual user, particularly people who just want to post their snaps on the internet, it is more than sufficient.
There is more to photography than MP's and all serious photographers know that. Sensor size, quality lenses, lens options, processing power of the DSLR, in camera functions and more make all the difference. As high MP cameras became a dime a dozen, DSLR companies focused on a variety of other elements. 2010 Seems to be the year of leaps in Video or Movie technology being incorporated in DSLR's and the winner by a long shot was the Canon Rebel T2i. The Canon Rebel T2i was a recognised pack leader and a best seller for Canon. This was a good victory for Canon.
The Canon EOS Rebel T2i boasts the best of the technology in MP's, Sensor, Processor, in camera options and lifted HD movie capability to a new level of professionalism. The Canon T2i offers a choice of movie frames per second and pixel density, leaving the user the option between ultimate quality over storage capacity. The user can take a large number of totally acceptable videos on less storage or, if budget allows the user can take take professional quality movies. This impressive capability in a DSLR has thrown down the gauntlet to the full spectrum of Video Cameras and all DSLR competitors.
Other notable features that make the Canon Rebel T2i impressive are a new, smudge free Liquid Crystal Display, light weight, the full spectrum of auto modes as well as manual modes for those that know what they are doing.
Professional HD movies are now available in your DSLR even at a low budget. The reviewers that called the T2i the "best consumer DSLR" had good reason for their praise.
The Canon T2i is sold in North America as part of the Rebel range. In Europe and elsewhere this range is not differentiated. The T2i it is sold as the Canon 550D outside of North America. It is widely available through Amazon and other on-line stores and is stocked by all reputable Camera stores. The price is pretty standard and has come down somewhat after the announcement of the Canon T3i (600D) early in 2011. The Canon 600D offers slightly advanced HD movie capability and more importantly a Vari-Angle Screen. The new announcement offers a further upgrade to the Canon T2i but is in no way a replacement.
