If you own a dog, you know how many dog health care considerations there are and you do your best to up-keep them. Pet owners always want their animal to be in perfect health. Most will also be aware that dog health care considerations change from season to season.
Those who currently reside in the Northern Hemisphere will be beginning to observe the first signs of spring. It is hard to find someone who doesn’t like the springtime. With springs comes cute new born lambs and beautiful yellow daffodils.
Spring also brings a different set of dog health care considerations to those you would be used to in autumn and winter. Firstly, the grooming of your pet will radically change in spring. He or she will start to shed their winter coat. All this loose hair can make their environment messy and unhygienic, so you’ll have to clean it more regularly.
Daffodils may be beautiful, but they are also toxic to dogs and other animals. Make sure your dog doesn’t start nibbling daffodils in your garden, or whenever you take them for a walk.
Humans aren’t the only animals to suffer from hay fever. Dogs can be allergic to pollen, dust and airborne moulds. Dogs that are prone to sneezing in spring may have hay fever. Consult a vet if this is your dog.
These new considerations do not mean You Can forget all your staple dog health care tasks. These keep your dog on the cusp of health, warding off problems before they arrive.
