Harry Potter And Twilight Superstars Fought At The MTV Movie Awards
The 2011 MTV Movie Awards kicked off last June 5, 2011 at Los Angels, California. Jason Sudeikis of the comedic television program Saturday Night Live, popularly known as the SNL, hosted the spectacular event. It was filled with brilliant and astonishing superstars from the world of motion pictures and music as well. Some of the presenters include Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Ashton Kutcher, Chris Evans, and Elle Fanning.
Wizards and witches of Harry Potter were seemed to be down and outperformed by the vampires and werewolves as Twilight brought home five golden popcorns including the Best Movie award. British actor Robert Pattinson and American actress Kristen Stewart took home the Best Male Performance and Best Female Performance for their movie Twilight Saga: Eclipse, respectively. But, it is not a total loss for Harry Potter fans out there because Tom Felton grabbed the Best Villain award for his performance at the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 as the Death Eater Draco Malfoy.
I guess the most surprising moment in the event was when Twilight hunks Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner shared a kiss when the winner of the Best Kiss award was announced. It wasn't actually scandalous as R-Pat kissed Taylor at the cheek only. Surprised eh? Girls, don't worry, Taylor and Robert are straight.
One of the highlights of the event was the debut of yet another installment of the Twilight series, which is the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. The trailer was full of thrilling and exciting scenes to watch including the most awaited wedding of Edward and Bella. I can't wait till November 18, 2011 comes.
