Wizards And Witches Vs . Vampires And Werewolves -- Who Prevailed At The 2011 MTV Movie Awards?
The 2011 MTV Movie Awards kicked off last June 5, 2011 at Los Angels, California. Saturday Night Live (SNL) host and comedian Jason Sudeikis hosted the spectacular event. As expected, the show was jam-packed with different personalities from the world of entertainment. These celebrities include Ashton Kutcher, Elle Fanning, Blake Lively, Chris Evans, and Ryan Reynolds, who served as presenters for different awards.
The vampires and werewolves of the Twilight film series defeated the wizards and witches of Harry Potter as the franchise took home five awards that include the Best Movie award for Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Twilight Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart defeated Harry Potter celebs Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson for the Best Male Performance and Best Female Performance, respectively. However, Death Eater Draco Malfoy or in real life Tom Felton, has successfully cast the spell as he won the Best Villain award for the first part of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows film.
The most surprising moment in this award ceremony was probably when Taylor Lautner, the hunky werewolf Jacob Black, received a kiss from Robert Pattinson, the scorching vampy Edward Cullen, when the latter and his leading leady Kristen Stewart won the Best Kiss award for their film Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Were you surprised as well? No fret, Robert and Taylor aren't gay.
The official release of the first trailer for the film The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 was yet one of the highlights of the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. It was full of exciting scenes including the anticipated wedding of the Edward Cullen and Bella Swan.
