Let's Consider White Spots On Your Tonsils And Are They Harmful?
Here is a useful article to shed some light around the association between tonsilloliths and crappy breath. Most of people know very well what crappy breath is, unfortunately! But you'd be surprised just how many individuals are clueless as to what a tonsil stone is. To clear one thing up...You Can have crappy breath with no tonsil stones however it's odd that a person has tonsil stones without crappy breath! Also referred to as tonsil cheese, rocks, balls, white clumps, they are really very foul and stinky little things that look alot like cottage cheese! They have a specific odor which is tough to explain but unbearable to say the least.
It's my own belief that most of the incredibly crappy breath scenarios on the planet are generally the result of tonsil stones and the individual just doesn't understand it or basically is oblivious to the specifics. What I mean is, these little stones that sit inside your tonsil crypts can certainly go undiscovered. It's only when they grow to be rather large that you'll begin to 'know' they are in there. While they aren't dangerous, they can certainly trigger some serious side-effects!
I can probably write a book regarding the likes and distinctions about these white spots on throat and crappy breath, medically known as halitosis. For the sake of a brief read and to avoid boring you to death, I'll try and just continue with the basic facts here. The basics of crappy breath can be linked back to absence of some basic oral cleanliness, although there can be some much deeper causes. Tonsil stones have quite a few different reasons but you have to be careful with all the different false opinions and details floating around.
The whole pungent breath issue can be traced back to your diet and how often or not often that you brush your teeth, floss and whether or not you use an effective rinse or mouthwash. I think that anybody who can not take a few minutes each morning and night to brush their teeth, floss and rinse are merely lazy. That is the simplest way to lessen or eliminate common crappy breath. Now, when it comes to tonsils stones, simple brushing, flossing and mouthwash, believe it or not only offer a temporary fix. Quite often that does nothing to help the odor coming from the small stones.
There is simply a ton of information floating around about what causes tonsil stones but most of it's just opinion. People's explanation varies from saying it has to do with strep throat, post nasal drip, tonsillitis, throat infections, ear or sinus issues, smoking among other things. While a mix of these may absolutely add to the problem, I do not think any of these are the main reason behind their formation.
